The RC Diocese of Scotland, Aberdeen is partnering with Catholic Distance University (CDU) to provide high quality online programs and courses in adult faith formation. The online option from CDU gives each person in the diocese the opportunity to study the Catholic Faith alone or with a group using a convenient, flexible, and adult-friendly format.
Members are also invited to work towards receiving one of CDU’s noncredit certificates. The courses and seminars required for each of the noncredit Certificates provide a systematic way to grow in knowledge of the Catholic Faith. As a subsidy partner you can take the required seminars and courses at a discounted tuition rate of $30 (@£25) per module.
All new Catechists and Children’s Liturgy leaders are encouraged to take the 3-lesson module:
RELED N001 Basic Catechetics for Discipleship
to assist in understanding their formative role and provide practical information for planning and running a successful catechetical session.
In addition to the support provided by CDU’s excellent staff, the Dominican Sisters at Greyfriars Convent are happy to assist those taking the CDU courses in any way, from walking them through the process of registration to understanding lectures more clearly. Please contact us via the contact form with questions.
